The “World Bank Silver Map” published by the World Bank shows that the global economic strength (represented by the gross national product) ranks in the top 50, followed by the United States, Japan, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, China, Brazil, Canada, and Spain. World Bank statistics show that the economic strength of Singapore and South Korea among the four Asian tigers has risen at an alarming rate. Among them, Singapore’s GNP per capita ranked only 18th in the world in 1992. For the first time in 1995, it surpassed France, Italy, and entered the world’s top ten; South Korea’s GNP also ranked 13th in the world in 1992, 1995. Has been promoted to the 11th, with the strength of being among the top ten economies in the world.
