化学反应速度和化学平衡原理是中学化学教学中要求学生掌握的重要基础理论之一。就这个理论的主要内容来看,只有掌握了化学反应速度基本概念之后,才能理解可逆反应中的化学平衡状态,进而理解影响平衡移动的各个因素。因此,我们认为化学反应速度的内容,不仅是这些理论学习的起点,更重要的也可以说是学好它们的一个关键——对化学反应速度基本概念糊模不清,往往会导致对那些理论也难于理解。为了使这方面教学取得较完善的设计,我们首先对化学反应速度概念本身要有所理解,也就是对它的涵义和计算方法作出相应的叙述,然后再设计具体的教学方法。
