It has been reported that Piper betle L. crude extract and its components have a variety of therapeutic uses and biological activities. Chewing of the plant leaves can improve digestive function through sowing. For the first time, the authors studied the effects of loquat leaves on isolated ileum and rabbit jejunum in guinea pigs, demonstrating their anti-choline and calcium channel antagonistic activity.
