A survey by the Pew Research Center found that out of every 10 U.S. Internet users, 4 said they had encountered online harassment on social media. In a report on the results of this survey, Reuters said that among the 4,248 respondents, there were as many as 41% of the online experience of harassment such as defamation and insult, a rate much higher than the findings of previous years.
