83—84年生产期,是我厂建厂以来加工甜菜最多、生产时间最长的一个制糖期。也是至今我厂原料管理史上甜菜保管量最大、保管时间最长的一个保藏期。自1983年10月1日甜菜进厂至1984年6月2日制糖下菜完毕,保管期长达245天。长期冻藏保管甜菜173,339吨,延长保管到6月2日,甜菜保管期之长超出了甜菜块根保藏技术操作规程的范围。开堆时甜菜都保持冰冻状态,质量良好。5月下旬,气温急骤升高,日平均气温在零上15℃左右,最高气温达零上31℃,这种情况下所开的堆,堆内温度在零下8℃至9℃之间,堆表温度在零下5℃至零下7℃,甜菜还是呈良好的冰冻状态。此时,经机车捣运,沟头下菜连续作业,流送到切丝机的甜菜没有完全解冻,切丝正常,菜丝洁白,挂着冰凌,含糖率仍保持较高水平,5月下旬菜丝含糖率16.03%。为制糖超期加工,提高经济效益,创造了一定条件。
