分析卡勒与安德森围绕小说与想像的民族共同体之谱系展开的对话,论证以摹仿诗学为元理论基础的安德森—卡勒范式的四大理论创新点,即印刷资本主义与印刷文化、现代民族认同的想像本质、文学叙事与文化想像、文学摹仿与文化摹仿。反思安德森—卡勒范式的文学中心论涉及的文学与整个人文学科及跨学科批评理论之间的关系;反思建构系统的以文学叙事为中心的文化想像和形象理论之必要性和可行性。提倡在重估当代全球跨文化语境中的文学知识合法性的前提下重铸文学的公共批判精神、文化拯救和创新力量。
