(一)冬泳前一定要进行严格的身体检查。一般来讲患有严重心血管疾病、高血压、肺结核、皮肤病、肾炎、中耳炎等疾病的人,是不能参加冬泳的,以防病情加重或发生意外。而究竟能不能够参加冬泳,要通过身体检查和医生的鉴定来决定。(二)冬泳一定要充分做好下水前的准备活动。由于天气寒冷,关节的灵活性、肌肉的柔韧性比较差,所以下水前要充分做好热身活动,使僵滞的肌肉和全身的关节在下水前得到充分的拉伸,以提高身体的适应性。准备活动还可以便内脏器官的功能逐渐提高,接近于运动状态,特别是血液循环系统和呼吸系统能较快地适应游泳时的需要,以减轻低温下心脏和肺的负担。一般来讲,准备活动要做到身体发热、发暧、发红后再慢慢下水。(三)冬泳连续时间不宜过长,但要持之以恒。
