The experience of drilling and completion of the fourth and fifth branch wells in the deepwater area of Campos Basin in the last three years is introduced. The rationale for using multilateral wells is outlined, several different joining techniques (milling window systems and pre-milling window systems) are outlined, and some of the related aspects of wellbores that have been drilled are Bonito wells (depth 200 m), Voador well (depth 565 m) and two Barracuda wells (depth 802 m / 850 m). Deepwater branch wells have their own complexities. The completion of the primary side wells is related to the success or failure of the project. This article also summarizes the experience gained from complex drilling engineering and concludes that multi-branch drilling technology is an effective alternative to the development of deep-sea oil fields.
