日本北里大学鹿取教授等,通过动物实验和临床试验发现抗过敏性药物具有控制心肌梗塞作用。当发生心肌梗塞时,它能防止肌肉坏死的扩展和恶化。该教授等将鼠的左冠状动脉结扎,观察心肌坏死扩展情况,发现在坏死肌肉周围,聚集很多白细胞。正是由于这些白细胞,使坏死扩展。同时查明,将白细胞聚集起来的,是由细胞膜生成的生理活性物质LTB_4。它是通过白细胞中的一种酶制成的。
