玉米种质的遗传多样性贫乏、遗传基础狭窄早已引起玉米育种界的关注。热带亚热带玉米种质遗传多样性丰富、抗逆性强、叶片持绿性好 ,是拓宽温带玉米种质基础 ,提高抗逆性和生产潜力等不可多得的异源种质。采用现代玉米育种手段和途径 ,把热带亚热带玉米种质导入温带育种材料中 ,经过改良、创新 ,构建新的杂种优势群和杂种优势模式 ,具有广阔的前景。
The genetic diversity of maize germplasm is poor and the narrow genetic base has already caused the concern of maize breeding. The tropical and subtropical maize germplasm is rich in genetic diversity, strong in resistance and good in leaf greening. It is a rare heterologous germplasm that broadens the germplasm base of temperate maize and raises the potential of resistance and productivity. The introduction of tropical and subtropical maize germplasms into temperate breeding materials by means of modern maize breeding and approaches has broad prospects through improvement, innovation and construction of new heterotic groups and heterosis modes.
