煤气流动粒子炉有许多优点,与电炉、盐浴炉和石墨流动粒子炉比较,它设备简单,而且经济。所用粒子既不会像盐、油那样老化,也不会像石墨那样烧掉,它只是加热或冷却的中间介质,煤气可用管道输送,价格便宜,经常的消耗费用低,既可用于机械工业和仪表工业上小工件的加热,又可建成连续生产的大炉子加热和冷却各种管、带、丝、棒、齿轮、大轴等,由于在粒子层内可以造成保护性气氛,又可对工件进行光亮热处理,是一种非常有前途的炉子,在北京无线电厂和北京钢铁学院试制成功后得到了各方面的重视,迅速推广开来。
