莫里森的第一部小说《最蓝的眼睛》描写了美国白人审美观对非裔黑人女性心灵的冲击所造成黑人身份的迷失与丧失。本文通过对该小说的人物分析来深入探讨主人公佩科拉及其母亲波林悲剧的根源,认为莫里森非常关注黑人女性心灵世界,敏锐地意识到白人审美标准对黑人女性心灵的浸染现象,使她的作品在视角以及思想深度上别树一帜,走在时代的前面。
Morrison’s first blush, the Bluest Eye, describes the loss and loss of black identity as a result of the impact of American aesthetics on the hearts of African-American black women.
