According to People’s Daily News, on October 8, the third phase of the People’s Daily on-line and the founding ceremony of the People’s Daily New Media Center were held in the newly-built People’s Daily New Media Building. Yang Zhenwu, president of People’s Daily, announced that the new media center of People’s Daily was formally established, marking a new step for the People’s Daily in accelerating media convergence. Yang Zhenwu pointed out that People’s Daily will concentrate its efforts on running the People’s Daily while sticking to the desktop Internet and mobile Internet.
