James O’Connor, one of the most important representatives of the new generation of radical economists in the United States. He studied at the University of St. Lawrence in the United States with a Bachelor of Arts and Ph.D. degree from Columbia University. He taught at Barnard College, Washington University in St. Louis, and University of California, San Jose. Now the University of California at Santa Cruz serves as Sociology And economics professor. O’Connor’s first book to draw the attention of academics was “The Origins of Cuban Socialism”, which was published in 1970 to address the Cuban issue.
