Ejiao is a traditional Chinese medicinal material. It is named after its Dong A town in Shandong province. It is made from high quality donkey skin using local groundwater. In combination with ginseng and pilose antler, it is called “Sambo”. Ejiao’s main component is collagen and its hydrolysate, which contains 16.43% to 16.54% nitrogen and is basically a protein.
