We used self-expanding metal stent (SEMS) for the treatment of 26 patients with dysphagia caused by advanced esophageal cancer in 1999-2001, and evaluated its clinical efficacy and postoperative quality of life. . 1 Materials and Methods 1.1 Clinical data 26 patients with esophageal cancer, 17 males and 9 females, aged 42 75 years, all diagnosed (barium meal, CT, gastroscopy and pathology diagnosis
