《热·盆·烃》理论模式是地矿部石油地质研究所以冯福先生为首的集体科研成果,它的基本点是:热力学是地球动力学基础;地球深部热活动宏观上控制着地壳的构造作用和沉积盆地的形成、分布与演化;不同类型盆地的热特征控制着在地内有机质的演化和油气的相态分布。在烃类原始母质向油气转化的过程中,热作用是多种地质一物理化学因素中最为活跃的因素。它是盆地形成的先导,又是联系盆地与油气之间的纽带。
