This paper introduces a new algorithm “single-step relaxation method” (OSR) and its application examples for the third generation circuit simulation program, and introduces a new circuit simulation program ELDO. This algorithm replaces Newton’s method used in most second-generation circuit simulation programs. Unlike the algorithm in Time Domain Simulation, No simplistic assumptions have been made about the weak coupling between OSR nodes. The performance of the OSR is very similar to the “Waveform Relaxation Method” (WRM) used in the new circuit simulation program RELAX. However, OSR requires less memory space than WRM and its CPU time increases with the interval of simulation time. ELDO has accurately simulated 1600 MOS tube digital-analog conversion circuit, the required memory is less than 1MB.
