随着多媒体和网络的普及以及在教学中的应用,以电子超文本为对象的非线性超文本阅读在学生的生活和学习当中占据越来越重要的地位。本文采用测试、问卷调查和访谈的方式,研究英语专业本科生在阅读超文本和印刷文本时的阅读效果及学生对这两种不同文本的态度,在阅读两种不同文本时所采取的略读、跳读和从上下文猜测生词技能的差异以及学生在超文本阅读时的主要困难及其原因。目的在于引起英语教师及研究者对网络超文本阅读及其阅读策略的关注,提高学生在多媒体与网络条件下的阅读理解能力。
With the popularization of multimedia and network as well as its application in teaching, the non-linear hypertext reading using electronic hypertexts plays an increasingly important role in the life and study of students. This paper uses the methods of tests, questionnaires and interviews to study the reading effect of English major undergraduates in reading hypertext and printed texts and the students’ attitudes toward the two different texts, and the sketches taken when reading two different texts , The differences between skipping and context guessing vocabulary skills, and the major difficulties students face when reading hypertext and why. The purpose is to arouse the attention of English teachers and researchers in the online hypertext reading and reading strategies and to improve their reading comprehension under the conditions of multimedia and internet.
