[Objective]To optimize the ultrasonic technology extraction of polysaccharides from RHIZOMA PHRAGMITIS. [Method]The effects of some independent variables,including ultrasonic power,treating time and material-water ratio on the extraction yield of polysaccharides were investigated through the response surface methodology based on the analysis of single-factor tests. [Result]It was found that optimal parameters for extracting polysaccharides from RHIZOMA PHRAGMITIS were based on twice extraction for 26 min at ultrasonic power 250 W with a material-water ratio of 1∶ 22. 5 (g /ml) ,which yielded an extraction yield of 1. 724%. Compared with the traditional hot water extraction method,the ultrasonic extraction time was shortened by five-sixths,and the yield of polysaccharides was multiplied by 1. 412 times. [Conclusion]Ultrasonic technology is rapid and efficient to extract polysaccharides from RHIZOMA PHRAGMITIS.
