The authors established an efficient normal phase chromatographic method for the determination of cerebrospinal fluid and plasma praziquantel concentration in patients with cerebral cysticercosis. The column was Partisil Si (Whatman); the mobile phase was eluted with cyclohexane: ethyl acetate: tetrahydrofuran: methanol = 52.3: 38.0: 4.7: 5.0 at a flow rate of 0.8 ml / min; Praziquantel peak, λ_ (ex) 268 nm, λ_ (em) 285 nm.
