An SIS epidemic model with a discrete delay has been investigated in thisarticle. By means of Liapunov functional, some sufficient conditions of global stability toendemic equilibrium and disease free equilibrium have been obtained. The influence oftime delay on the stability of equilibria is displayed. The switch of stability and the Hopfbifurcation from the endemic equilibrium have been discussed.
