表演作为陶辉经常运用与探讨的素材,一直贯穿于其创作之中。在其早期的作品《蒙古症》中,他邀请剧中的演员想象自己拥有蒙古血统,并将这一表演的过程记录下来。而由艺术家亲身表演的《谈身体》,就是在身份幻想因素的基础上,又加入了编造的身份谱系考证。就此次个展“多余的”而言,我们可以看到艺术家对于表演之中个体对于自我身份的想象性界定之外,又探讨了表演中的三组关系:虚拟现实与真实记忆的关系(《一个人物与七段素材》)、情境制
Performing as a frequent use and exploration of Tao Hui material, has been throughout its creation. In his earlier work, “Mongolia,” he invited actors in the play to imagine themselves having Mongol origin and documenting the process of the show. The artist’s personal performance of “talking about the body” is based on the ideological fantasy elements, but also joined the fabricated identity pedigree. For this solo exhibition, “Extrinsic,” we can see that in addition to the artist’s imaginative definition of self-identity among the performers, we also explore three sets of relationships in performance: the relationship between virtual reality and real memory “A character and seven clips”), situational system
