牙源性肿瘤,特别是牙源性腺样瘤(AOT)和牙源性钙化上皮瘤中,常存在有淀粉样物质。淀粉样物质在H-E染色切片上为嗜伊红均质性物。牙源性腺样瘤的导管样结构中,两排相对排列的高柱状细胞之间,以及实性细胞团块内常见有嗜伊红物质(EM)。Lee(1974)认为这些嗜伊红物质为淀粉样物质,而Buchner(1976)则否认AOT中存在淀粉样物质。为此,作者采用组织化学和电镜技术研究了牙源性腺样瘤中EM与淀粉样物质
Odontogenic tumors, particularly odontogenic adenomas (AOT) and odontogenic calcified epithelioma, often contain amyloid. Amyloids are eosinophilic homogenates on H-E stained sections. In the ductal-like structure of odontogenic adenomas, eosinophilic substances (EM) are commonly found between the two rows of tall columnar cells and solid cell masses. Lee (1974) thought that these eosinophils were amyloid, and Buchner (1976) denied the presence of amyloid in AOT.
