流媒体是指采用流式传输方式在互联网上播放的媒体格式,流媒体又叫流式媒体。近年来随着人们对多媒体应用需求越来越大,网络带宽也逐步提高,流媒体得以广泛的应用,流媒体技术也随着3G网络的普及得以在手机网络广泛应用。如今,以流媒体技术为平台产生出了很多数字化的流媒体应用,其中又以智能流媒体应用和移动流媒体应用为代表,流媒体技术正引起广告业和移动通信业的深刻变革。
