藏医虽然是很早就发源于藏地的独立医药体系,但也不乏对相邻周边地区医药知识的学习和吸收,尤其是汉地。在敦煌石窟中,曾就出土了一份汉文的《唐人写绘灸法图残卷》。《敦煌本吐蕃历史文书》及后弘期藏族史料都也有从汉地引进历算和医药的记载。《西藏王臣记》讲到赤德祖赞时期,“自唐都京师翻译《金光明经》、《毗奈耶分品疏》及少部分医药典籍。”(1)两位汉地公主入嫁吐蕃更是带去了汉地大量的医药著作和大批的医者。汉地医药对藏医的影响主要表现在其对吐蕃医者、藏族医药典籍、藏医药物三方面。
