The term “isozymes” was first proposed by Markert.C.L. and Moller, F. as early as 1959 and refers to a class of enzymes that have the same enzymatic activity but differ in their molecular structure. The concept of modern isozymes is relatively broad, referring to the same biochemical reactions that do the work is the same enzyme, but due to the different structures between them, reflecting the enzyme activity of the optimum pH, temperature, substrate Concentration and metabolic regulation there are differences so that the actual function of these enzymes in the metabolic physiology is not the same, these enzymes are called isozymes.
