In our study, 939 patients undergoing tympanotomy (338 males and 251 females, mean age 9.2 years) were enrolled in this study. Eight different types of ventilation tubes were followed up for 27 months to observe the venting of the ventilation tubes rate. The patient after the first day of review, every 8 months after the observation 1, until the tube discharge so far. RESULTS: In Group 1, two similarly designed tubes, Shepard and Exmoor, were compared, most of whom were excreted 6 to 9 months after surgery and all of the tubes failed to function by the year.
