On August 20, 1882, the plaza of the Moscow Art and Industry Fair was packed with people. All of them stretched their necks and erected their ears and were enthusiastically listening to music performed by the big band on the square’s stage. Their feelings fluctuate with the “pulse” of music, sometimes serene, sometimes excited. When the music entered the climax of the opening ceremony of the national anthem of Russia and Russia, the orchestral chorus of the stage and the audience were excited. After the end of the song, the audience happily cheered for a long time. The cheerful, magnificent music aroused strong resonance among the people. This is the grand occasion when Tchaikovsky’s “Overture of 1812” premiered.
