Glacier and permafrost landform is an important part of geomorphology research. It is helpful to understand the geomorphic characteristics of Alaska in central South China by studying the origin of glaciers and the distribution of frozen soil in south-central Alaska. Based on the analysis of various factors affecting the origin of glaciers and the related knowledge of permafrost, the causes of glaciers and the distribution of frozen soil in central-southern Alaska are analyzed. (1) The Great Ice Age is believed to be mainly due to changes in the position of the mainland. Glaciers are formed where the winter is cold and snow can not be warmed until all the snow melts in the summer. (2) In the Central and Southern Alaska, In some parts of the mountain there is only discontinuous permafrost. These places where discontinuous permafrost can develop are mainly located in the Copper River (Copper River), as well as some parts of northern Sussena River.
