莆田平海湾跨海供水应急工程采用钢丝网骨架塑料(聚乙烯)复合管,运行中因不明原因损坏。使用抽沙找管、水下钻孔及管内加食用油、小泡沫等方法探摸管道毁坏点,使用施工船舶将毁坏管道吊出水面处理断管对接,使用尼龙网袋装袋装水泥搅拌砂压载修复的管道,解决了钢丝网骨架塑料复合管在跨海供水中毁坏后的修复难题,保证工程顺利运行,社会经济效益显著。该文对此进行总结,供相似工程参考。
