大白菜产量高、品质好,是人人喜食的一种蔬菜。在浙江的气候条件下,一般都在秋季播种,到冬季才有供应,其他时間,特别是春季就难于吃到新鮮的大白菜了。为了摸索解决春季缺菜問題的途径,1960年春季,我們进行了春季栽培大白菜的試驗。根据大白菜生長发育需要低溫通过春化阶段和長日照通过光照阶段的特性,是可以人为控制防止其抽苔开花和促使其在春季生長发育結球的,并且同样能够产量高、品质好。近年来,上海、南京試种的經驗,以及这次在杭州試驗的結果,都証明了这一点。一、試驗方法及材料 (一)供試材料为“白口”“浙农早生8号”“溫州筍形菜”“金华矮种大白菜”等四个品种。 (二)小区面积:70平方尺,長20尺、寬3.5
