Charles Rowe was the most prominent designer in the field of furniture design in the United States from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Under the impact of arts and crafts, classical revival and radical modernized movement, Roosevelt follows the inner feelings and insisted on the originality in the United States and played an artistic imagination in the diligent pursuit of oak natural textures, thereby creating a “ Roosevelt Style ”“ Art Furniture ”. Roes’s design style derives from the aesthetic of the period, but also absorbed the abstract naturalism in art, as well as the design elements of Asia, Britain, Germany and the Moorish. Under the influence of eclecticism and exoticism, Roosevelt’s unique and highly imaginative designs have given him a place in the design history of the 20th century. Furniture works fully demonstrate individuality and aesthetic appreciation.
