He is also the earliest and most influential American playwright to be studied and studied by Chinese scholars and scholars. This is not only because of his internationally acclaimed reputation, but also because of the blend of Chinese culture and thought shown in his work, and Taoist thought has even become one of the philosophical foundations of his writing. This Chinese element is vividly manifested in many of his works.
