高速钢低温淬火高速钢制作的冷冲模具,为了提高韧性,减少崩刃,延长使用寿命,把淬火温度降低约100℃,能取得显著的效果。例如W18Cr4V高速钢制作的冷冲模,原采用1280℃淬火经3次560℃×1h的回火处理,冷冲3mm厚的钢板,使用一段时间后因崩刃而报废。为了提高韧性,改为1190℃淬火,经3次560℃×1h的回火处理,使用寿命提高2倍,提高韧性的原因,主要是降低了马氏体的含碳量和奥氏体晶粒的进一步细化。
