台湾大学陈中,在台湾园艺学会1983年年会上宣读了《高山地区幼龄苹果园的水土保持研究》论文,作者在南投县仁爱乡梅峰台大附设山地农场(海拔2000公尺)的密植矮性苹果园中,设置水土流失观测池,观测百喜草(Paspalum notaturn L.)与白花三叶草(Trifolium repens L.)在单植与混植情况下,其生长、水土保持效果及对果树生长的影响,1979～1980三年观测结果,摘要如下:
Taiwan University Chen Zhong, at the 1983 Annual Meeting of the Society of Horticulture in Taiwan, read a paper entitled “Research on Soil and Water Conservation of Young Apple Orchards in Alpine Areas”. The author attached a dense planting of mountain farms (2,000 meters above sea level) at Meifeng National Taiwan University in Renai Township, Nantou County In the low apple orchard, the observation ponds for soil and water loss were set up to observe the growth, soil and water conservation effects and the effects on the growth of fruit trees under the conditions of monoculture and mixed planting of Paspalum notaturn L. and Trifolium repens L. , 1979 ~ 1980 three years of observations, summarized as follows:
