According to the “People’s Daily, the Week of Democracy and the Legal System,” on May 30, 2002, the 44th meeting of the Standing Committee of the First People’s Congress of Suqian City, Jiangsu Province, according to the request made by the dean of the Intermediate People’s Court of the city, 13 judges were appointed as the deputy Chief and Judge positions. After the vote, the 13 judges solemnly swear under the leadership of the dean: “loyalty to the party and state, being loyal to the people and the law; abiding by the judges’ duties and not dismissing the judge’s mission; ensuring judicial fairness and improving judicial efficiency ... and safeguarding the image of judges For the sake of realizing social justice and justice and for building a socialist country ruled by law. ” Just as party members have to join the party to take the oath, the appointment of the judges as oaths is yet another useful exploration and innovation in the system of personnel appointment after the appointment of officers with the legal knowledge examination before the appointment by some local people’s congresses in recent years. The oath of the judge is to assure the people that the heartfelt statement made to the party and the people is self-evident.
