单士厘是中国最早走出国门并留下著述的知识女性。她撰写了中国最早的女子国外游记《癸卯旅行记》、《归潜记》,其诗集《受兹室诗稿》亦有记叙国外旅游的诗篇。单士厘的国外旅游开中国近代妇女旅游之先河,不愧为中国近代妇女旅游第一人。 Shan Shili is one of the earliest Chinese women who have gone abroad and left their writings.
