从1978年算起,语文教学改革已进行了十多年了,教学质量虽然也有所提高,但提高得幅度不大,仍不能令人满意。1987年,华东师范大学受国家教委的委托,对全国初中三年级的语文教学现状作了抽样调查。调查结果表明,当前大多数学生的语文成绩偏低,阅读和写作的总成绩均未达到及格线。吕叔湘先生1978年所指出的那种“十年的时间,二千七百多课时,用来学本国语,却是大多数不过关”的状况,至今尚未根本改变。这究竟是什么原因呢?有人说是师资水平低,教材落后,也有人说是用了满堂灌的教学方法。我们认为:上述这些都是造成教学质量低的原因,但不是主要原因;主要原因是教学模式陈旧落后,不符合语言习得的客观规律,不切合学生的实际。
Since 1978, Chinese teaching reform has been carried out for more than a decade. Although the quality of teaching has also been improved, the improvement has not been satisfactory and it is still unsatisfactory. In 1987, East China Normal University commissioned by the State Education Commission, made a sample survey of the status quo of Chinese teaching in the third grade of junior middle school throughout the country. The survey results show that the majority of students in the current language performance is low, the total score of reading and writing did not reach the passing line. The kind of condition that Mr Lv Shuxiang pointed out in 1978 “over 10 years and more than 2,700 hours of class time and spent most of his time in studying Mandarin but has not fundamentally changed yet.” What is the reason for this? Some people say that the level of teachers is low and teaching materials are backward, while others say that it is a full teaching method. In our opinion, all these are the reasons for the low quality of teaching, but not the main reason. The main reason is that the teaching mode is outdated and does not conform to the objective law of language acquisition and does not meet the needs of students.
