一般渐开线圆柱齿轮的齿根圆直径是不作严格要求的,以不防碍齿轮啮合而有一定存油润滑间隙为宜.但在某些场合,对齿轮根圆直径有一定限制,例如我们曾加工一批齿轮,其零件形状如下图.参数为:模数3,齿数15,分度圆压力角20°,分度圆直径45mm,齿高系数0.8,变位系数+0.48,齿顶高3.75mm,齿全高5.61mm,跨2齿数测公法线长度14.90_(-0.148)~(-0.100)mm,精度等级8-DC,要求φ41_(-0.1)mm处不能有刀痕.从零件结构上看,只能用插齿刀加工,而且需短齿制插齿刀.因为工件齿根圆直径为45-2×(5.61-3.75)=41.28mm,接近φ41_(-0.1)mm颈部,所以,即使用短齿制标准插齿刀,顶圆若不修正,也会在φ41.0mm
