在对东北古代民族研究学习过程中,关于族称的研究始终是学者们探讨的热点问题,但是由于历史文献资料的缺失,以及对族称命名方式来源的模糊,导致了我们探究这些民族族称命名方式的困难。本文将通过对肃慎女真族系诸(族)部在各时期的族称,进行分析、整理,从中管窥该族系内各部族的三种命名方式,即:以生活生产方式命名、以地命名、以部落首领名字命名。
