我们研究傣剧和傣剧音乐的时侯,总不免要追源溯流,从傣剧民间艺术中去探寻其来龙去脉;这样,就不能不使我们首先想到流传于云南省德宏傣族景颇族自治州的两种古老的傣族民间歌舞,即“马西双”(汉译即“十二马”)和“布屯腊雅送豪”(汉译即“犁田公公送饭婆婆”)。“马西双”系由男女各六人进行表演的集体歌舞形式,因表演者均须各跨骑一匹篾札纸糊并经过彩绘的马,故傣族民间又称之为“银马”(“银”系玩耍之意)。“布屯腊雅送豪”也是一种歌舞形式,由表演者分别扮演不同人物,并带有一定情节,因以牛、犁为主要道具,故傣族民间又称之为“银海”(“海”即牛)。两者均可视
