人疱疹病毒的生物学复杂性及其所致疾病的多样性给疫苗的研制带来诸多困难。迄今,疱疹疫苗研究进展缓慢;然而,免疫学和分子生物学方面的进展已为疫苗接种提供了一系列新方法,并在模型系统中显示良好前景。这一技术性突破,加上对疫苗接种的公共卫生利益的重新认识,再次激发起人们研制新疫苗的兴趣,并且,几种疫苗正在或即将进行临床试验。这些进展将对疱疹病毒性疾病的发病率产生重大影响。
The biological complexity of the human herpes virus and the diversity of the diseases it causes bring about many difficulties in the development of the vaccine. So far, herpes vaccine research has been slow; however, advances in immunology and molecular biology have provided a series of new approaches to vaccination and have shown promise in model systems. This technical breakthrough, combined with renewed awareness of the public health benefits of vaccination, has once again raised interest in developing new vaccines and several vaccines are or are in the pipeline for clinical trials. These advances will have a significant impact on the incidence of herpes viral diseases.
