卢沟桥位于北京西南15千米,因横跨卢沟河——即今天的永定河而得名,是北京现存最古老的石造联拱桥。卢沟桥始建于1189年,1444年重修。原桥毁于洪水而于康熙三十七年(1698年)重建。卢沟桥全长266.5米,下分11个涵孔,桥身左右两侧石雕护栏有望柱,柱头上均雕卧伏的大小石狮约500个,神态各异,栩栩如生。桥东的碑亭内立有清乾隆题“卢沟晓
Located about 15 km southwest of Beijing, the Lugou Bridge, named after today’s Yongding River, is the oldest stone arch bridge in existence in Beijing.
