Middle neck flexion myelopathy is a rare but well-known complication of posterior fossa surgery with a semi-sitting position. To reduce the risk of this complication, the authors routinely used somatosensory evoked potentials (SSEP) to monitor the posterior fossa position and assessed the incidence of severe and transient SSEP changes.
