Objective To investigate the effect of chemotherapy (chemotherapy) on cerebrovascular disease in patients with gynecologic malignancies. Methods Clinical data of 12 cases with cerebrovascular disease or new-onset cerebrovascular disease complicated by gynecological malignant tumor undergoing chemotherapy from January 2005 to June 2010 were analyzed retrospectively, including 3 cases of endometrial carcinoma, 8 cases of ovarian carcinoma, 1 case. Results Two patients had no prior cerebrovascular disease before chemotherapy. One patient had sudden cerebral hemorrhage on the next day after chemotherapy and one transient ischemic attack occurred 48 h after chemotherapy. Of the remaining 10 patients who had previous history of intracerebral hemorrhage or cerebral infarction, chemotherapy During the chemotherapy and follow-up until now no new evidence of exacerbation of cerebrovascular disease. Conclusions Chemotherapy of gynecological malignant tumor may not aggravate cerebrovascular disease. Chemotherapy may induce cerebral hemorrhage and transient cerebral ischemia, and should be paid attention to.
