Some people say that the United States is a “newspaper-covered” country. In big cities, vending boxes can be found everywhere, casting a few coins to get the newspaper you want. The most read newspapers in the world today are the U.S. News, the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Christian Science Monitor and the Wall Street Journal, all influential newspapers in the United States. However, people are more concerned about local news. Therefore, local newspapers, mainly local news, are also very popular. Under the arrangement of the U.S. Radiation Center, I made a special trip to visit the San Diego Daily, San Antonio Express, The Chicago Daily News and the New York Times. The chiefs of the editorial departments of these newspapers briefed me on the details of the operation of their newspapers and the status of journalists. Their size is above average in the United States. Although the specific conditions are different, they typically reflect the newspaper industry in the United States.
