Children who have close contact with active tuberculosis patients have higher rates of infection, prevalence and morbidity than the average child. The registration and management of children’s contacts are increasingly valued. However, the reports over the years are mostly short-term observation materials. To investigate the impact of childhood contacts on the incidence of tuberculosis in adolescence, we conducted a follow-up of 206 contacts from 1962 to 1980.
