世界的威廉姆斯…1996年的亚特兰大奥运会正值奥运百年之际,因而更加书世人瞩目。国际奥委会将这次历史性盛会的主题曲委予约翰·威廉姆斯进行创作。而此前的1984年第23届洛杉矶奥运会的主题曲《奥林匹克的号角》也是由威廉姆斯创作的。为奥运会创作主题曲的作曲家曾有多位,像伯恩斯坦(1981年冬季奥运会主题歌《奥林匹克颂歌》)、肖斯塔科维奇(1980年第22届奥运会主题曲《节日序曲》)等人均曾主盟执笔,但梅开二度的只有威廉姆斯一位。
Williams of the World ... The 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games coincided with the one hundred years of the Olympic Games, and thus more book-world attention. The International Olympic Committee will be the theme of this historic event commissioned by John Williams to create. Prior to 1984, the 23rd Los Angeles Olympic Games theme song “The Olympic Horn” was also created by Williams. There have been a number of composers who have written the theme song for the Olympic Games, such as Bernstein (the 1981 Olympic Winter Games theme song “Olympic Ode”), Shostakovich (1980’s theme song “Festival Overture”) Once per capita have autographed, but scored twice only Williams.
