This article is an overview of the Center for Folklore and Ethnography at the University of Pennsylvania. This center is one of the few academic units in the United States that can award a doctorate in folklore today. At the same time, it is also one of the academic centers of American folklore. Therefore, in this article, in addition to the description of the history of the center and the requirements of his doctoral degree, the article also provides a basic introduction and summary of the academic research of the major folklorists in this center.
